When Vasudeva saw his extraordinary son, his eyes were struck with wonder. Vasudeva could understand that this child was the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Nārāyaṇa. Having concluded this without a doubt, he became fearless. Bowing down with folded hands and concentrating his attention, he began to offer prayers to the child, who illuminated His birthplace by His natural influence. वसुदेव जी ने कहा -- मैं समझ गया कि आप प्रकृति से अतीत साक्षात पुरुषोत्तम हैं. आपका स्वरूप है केवल अनुभव और केवल आनन्द. आप समस्त बिद्धियों के एकमात्र साक्षी हैं. [[ १३ ]]
आप ही सर्ग के आदि में अपनी प्रकृति से इस त्रिगुणमय जगत की सृष्टि करते हैं. फिर उसमें प्रविष्ट ना होने पर भी आप प्रविष्ट के समान जान पड़ते हैं [[ १४ ]]
